  Hard to imagine a place that looks like Joe's Claim Shack should offer such a large variety of seafood and of such high quality. We had soft shell crab recently and they were huge (about the size of a dessert plate). Perfectly cooked and with a delicious remoulade. Whole belly claims, scallops, sword fish, you name it and they seem to have. The decor is claim-shacky, however. But you can bring your own bottle when eating in the large tent outside. For a really good seafood meal at a great price--can't be beat.

  Refused service. I literally hadn't eaten anything all day, and there was a ton of people outside here. So, I looked at the menu, for about 5 minutes because they had so much to choose from. When I went to the window to place my order, she yelled at me and said "we closed at 8.!" But I explained to her that I was standing there the whole time trying to decide what I wanted to order. Her response to me was "We closed at 8!" None of the staff said anything or made an exception or even said hey, get your order in before we close, and NONE of the Patrons helped either. Event though they all saw me there. Do not eat her, it's definitely not worth it.
